We Are Not Numbers was founded in 2015 under the umbrella of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor in the Gaza Strip. Its mission is to tell the human stories behind the numbers in the news by pairing Palestinian youth with native-English writers from around the world who coach them on how to tell their personal narratives )and those of others ( in a way that will resonate with readers from other cultures.
We Are Not Numbers is happy to announce two full-time job vacancies:
Social Media Coordinator
The social media coordinator will be responsible for managing all We Are Not Numbers social media platform—Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok. He/she will propose and implement social media plan to support WANN fundraising campaigns and other special initiatives.
Job requirements:
- BA degree of English, media, journalism or equivalent degree.
- Passion for WANN’s mission and goals.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, with an emphasis on storytelling or journalism.
- Experience in managing social media platforms and public relations.
Outreach and Partnerships Coordinator
The Outreach and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for managing external communications with organizations and donors; organize writer’s activities and training sessions.
He/she will have to organize and plan workshops, programs and fieldtrips to the writers and
represent the project locally and internationally in speaking events or TV appearances.
Job requirements:
- BA degree of English, media, pubic relations or equivalent degree.
- Passion for WANN’s mission and goals.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, with an emphasis on storytelling or journalism.
- Proven talent in public speaking and managing international relations.
