Project Coordinator/ Animal Production - Anera
General Duties:
- Conduct need assessment, and survey to select project beneficiaries
- Follow up on daily basis fieldwork of all project activities including tasks assigned to suppliers and contractors, ensure meeting standards and specifications, sign on handing over, and work reports.
- Periodical field visits to beneficiary farmers to give them advice on livestock husbandry.
- Deliver training to livestock farmers in technical subjects
- Coordinate training events
- Submit monthly progress reports identifying achievements and lessons learned
- Help the agricultural program team in their duties related in emergency and food security activities.
- Follow up on all aspects of contract administration with the contractors.
Competencies:
- Sc. degree in animal production from a Faculty of Agriculture
- Good experience in developmental project management
- Good experience in farm animal husbandry practices
- Strong communications skills in English and Arabic
- Three to five years of experience in supervising similar projects.
- Experience in agricultural extension and working with farmer groups, preferably within an NGO environment.
- Strong personality, communication skills and team work
- Good reporting skills
- Assume responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of work.
- Valid driving license.
