Project Coordinator/ Animal Production - Anera

General Duties:

  1. Conduct need assessment, and survey to select project beneficiaries
  2. Follow up on daily basis fieldwork of all project activities including tasks assigned to suppliers and contractors, ensure meeting standards and specifications, sign on handing over, and work reports.
  3. Periodical field visits to beneficiary farmers to give them advice on livestock husbandry.
  4. Deliver training to livestock farmers in technical subjects
  5. Coordinate training events
  6. Submit monthly progress reports identifying achievements and lessons learned
  7. Help the agricultural program team in their duties related in emergency and food security activities.
  8. Follow up on all aspects of contract administration with the contractors.


Competencies:

  1. Sc. degree in animal production from a Faculty of Agriculture
  2. Good experience in developmental project management
  3. Good experience in farm animal husbandry practices
  4. Strong communications skills in English and Arabic
  5. Three to five years of experience in supervising similar projects.
  6. Experience in agricultural extension and working with farmer groups, preferably within an NGO environment.
  7. Strong personality, communication skills and team work
  8. Good reporting skills
  9. Assume responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of work.
  10. Valid driving license.
