Job Summary:

You will support the Finance department’s management of accounting systems, policies and procedures in compliance with CRS’ established accounting standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), donors’ rules and regulations, and legal requirements to support high-quality programs serving the poor and vulnerable. As part of an experienced finance team, you will help coordinate daily financial activities through preparation and delivery of financial services.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review supporting documentation of financial transactions to ensure all required documents are accurate and
  2. Help ensure maintenance of all data required for processing financial transactions for assigned accounts in Insight financial accounting
  3. Record delegated financial transactions following appropriate authorizations. Review various accounts to detect
  4. Prepare delegated financial reports, as
  5. Help share information with subrecipients and staff on financial accounting policies and procedural compliance
  6. Provide needed support during
  7. Help evaluate subrecipient financial management processes in accordance with policy and help strengthen capacity of partner in financial accounting and
  8. Prepare Monitoring Visit Reports of sub-recipients according to
  9. Record commitments of sub-recipients to be reflected on
  10. Maintain gateway records up to date for sub-recipients.
  11. Participate in closing Month End Records for example, preparing bank reconciliations and cash
  12. Participate in closing Year End, providing reports as
  13. Responsible for Employee Expenses
  14. Maintaining archived files in an organized
  15. Follow up with Budget managers on pending tasks and Insight

Basic Qualifications

  1. A. degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration strongly preferred. Courses in accounting, or a qualification in accounting (CPA/ACCA or equivalent).
  2. Minimum of two years accounting experience, preferably with an international or local NGO, or a financial/banking
Required Languages – Fluent Arabic and English reading and writing
Travel – willing to travel throughout JWBG
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  1. Excellent analytical skills with ability to detect and report inconsistencies
  2. Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail
  3. Ethical conduct in accordance with recognized professional and organizational codes of ethics
  4. Proactive, resourceful, solutions oriented and results-oriented
  5. Ability to work collaboratively
  • Preferred Qualifications
  1. Familiarity the relevant public donors’ regulations a plus.
  2. Proficient in Excel and experience with Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Insight financial accounting package or similar financial reporting software a plus.
