M&E Coordinator - Tamer Institute " Ramallah "


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator will be providing support for the overall M&E functions of Tamer Institute with a focus on a project “Tri –learning (Literacy, numeracy and life skills)” project and psychosocial well-being through art.
  1. Development and/or revise Tamer Institute’s M&E plans, strategic and per program
  2. Lead the realization of the MEAL system at Tamer
  3. Ensure following up on program’s implementation and results-based delivery
  4. Collect and supervise regular data collection through implementing partners and ensure quality of the data by random verifications and validations
  5. Analyse and present data to relevant stakeholders, including the team, donors and affected beneficiaries on a regular basis
  6. Prepare M&E reports as required according to the projects agreements
  7. Provide technical support on M&E and evidence-based recommendations
  8. Establish and update databases reflecting accurate statistics on beneficiaries’ numbers and indicators progress
  9. Conduct field visits, joint visits, spot visits and random checks for the implemented activities/programs to ensure the quality and progress of the implementation as per the agreed plans.
  10. Design and implement project baseline and end line surveys, Pre & Post questionnaires and focus groups and other tools where needed
  11. Assist in knowledge-building and dissemination of lessons learned to national counterparts
  12. Support programs and fundraising departments in developing project’s proposals, especially the logical frames and situation analysis
  13. Disseminate the culture of monitoring, evaluation and learning among the team members
  14. Identify potential areas of interventions based on the needs of the target groups
  15. Support other departments in networking and communicating with donors, current and potential
  16. Support other departments in reporting, where needed

Professional Qualification

  1. University Degree in Social Studies or related fields.
  2. Knowledge and understanding of program/project M&E.
  3. Understanding of the current M&E trends and especially M&E systems in development organisations.

Experience

  1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience, with an organization working in the field of education, culture or protection
  2. Experience in data analysis and report writing.
  3. Experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.

Skills

  1. Monitoring and evaluation techniques and processes.
  2. Data collection and management.
  3. Analytical and research skills.
  4. Excellent command over report writing in English.
  5. Good interpersonal skills.
  6. Excellent computer knowledge with command on MS Excel among other packages of MS Office.

  1. Time management and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  2. Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  3. Able to effectively promote Tamer Institute mission, values, and objectives.
