This role is a member of the Global Partnerships and Philanthropic Services (GPPS) Unit, consisting of functional specialists across a variety of high-value fundraising functions providing all elements of cultivation, support and stewardship to high value (HV) donors, partners, and supporters, comprising three pillars: Research, Partner Engagement & Corporate Affairs, and Program Services. Program Services is GPPS’ largest pillar and works at the intersection of HV fundraising and our operations and programs in the field. This pillar comprises of proposal, proposition and reporting development services, program visits, private grants management, technical excellence, and compliance.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Senior Officer, Program Visits, the Manager, Program Visits will design, organize, and implement in-person and virtual program visits for donors and prospects within IRC’s HV fundraising portfolios and the Board of Directors demonstrating the impact of their support toward our fundraising objectives. In this role, the Manager will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with country program teams and likely accompany donor delegation visits to several of IRC’s international programs, including but not limited to the East Africa, Middle East, Latin America, and Asia regions, as well as IRC’s domestic programs in cities across the USA.

Major Responsibilities

Ø  Lead a portfolio of virtual and in-person visits for HV donors
Ø  Oversee a case request system, collecting and assessing incoming requests for support and services
Ø  In collaboration with key internal and external partners, build thematic, impactful program visits.
·       Coordinate with HV fundraising teams to align program visit objectives with organizational funding priorities and fundraising strategy.
·       Partner with program staff to identify destinations and develop itineraries.
·       Support fundraisers and partners with travel arrangements including, but not limited to,
o   Identify suggested flights and hotel accommodations
o   Support visa application processes
o   Address safety and security concerns
o   Hire interpretation and translation vendors to ensure accessibility of clients and global markets to all live and digital assets

Ø  Develop the following digital materials:

·       Presentation decks for virtual engagements

·       Webinar videos

·       Creative promotional and marketing materials

·       Donor Briefings

·       Post-trip Reports

Ø  Collect and analyze customer feedback

Ø  Develop and compile quarterly and YTD metrics reports to help assess the Program Visits team’s return on investment and impact

Ø  Co-lead the Client Responsiveness agenda of ER GEDI Action Plan as it relates to Program Visits

Job Requirements


  • Education: Bachelor's degree minimum, advanced degree is preferable.
  • Work Experience: 2-3 years of conference and meetings planning experience or related field. Experience leading high-level or international delegations is ideal.

Skills and Competencies:

  1. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills;
  2. Detail orientated, excels at time-management, multi-tasking and organization;
  3. Ability to adapt quickly, plan for, prioritize and juggle multiple projects while working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team;
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills: the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and diplomatically with colleagues, vendors, and consultants;
  5. Sound judgment in maintaining confidentiality of donor information;
  6. Solid digital literacy: ability to work effectively and accurately with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of event and customer relationship management software. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  7. Must have a passion for the IRC’s mission and commitment to fundraising, constituent stewardship and cultivation.
  8. Language Skills: Excellent spoken and written English is essential. Proficiency in either French, Spanish or Arabic is a plus.

Working Environment: Standard Working Environment. Remote Working may be required. International travel likely 2-4 weeks per year.
