Expected duration
- The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
- Remuneration for this consultancy will depend on the qualifications and relevant experience as follows:
- o Cluster A: $1,300.
- o Cluster B: $1,410.70
- o Cluster C: $1,500.
- o Cluster D: $1,600.
- o Cluster E: $1,800.
- o Cluster F: $2,000.
- The incumbent can be in any UNRWA field of operations (Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, or West Bank).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and committees to design and develop application systems.
- Capture functional requirements using various proven techniques to elicit latent needs, test their validity and relevance, resolve conflicts, and guide prioritization.
- Ensure the coverage of all use cases. Capture the as-is and to-be perspective with attention to business processes.
- Evaluate existing information systems through gap analysis, developing viable alternative solutions and estimates by working closely with the Project team to align designs that enable strategic outcomes.
- Coordinate and support the application development team in Testing and End User adoption on various customer projects.
- Preparation of technical documentation, SoPs, and other process documents.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications/special skills
Academic Qualifications:
- A university degree from an accredited educational institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, business, business analytics, management or related discipline
Experience:
- Experience in IT Business Analyst or equivalent experience in IT Applications development as per the following:
- o Cluster A: A minimum of 2 years of experience.
- o Cluster B: A minimum of 3 years of experience.
- o Cluster C: A minimum of 4 years of experience.
- o Cluster D: A minimum of 5 years of experience.
- o Cluster E: A minimum of 7 years of experience.
- o Cluster F: A minimum of 8 years of experience.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in Program/Project management roles in an enterprise-scale environment.
- Experience with agile methods and design thinking.
- Employment history must demonstrate progressive levels of responsibility.
- Good experience and sound understanding of IT fundamentals and technologies pertinent to creating business solutions (software development and testing, architecture, applications, databases, integration, infrastructure, and networks)

- Excellent written English and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- High level of personal integrity and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.

- Language fluency in English is required (verbal and written).
Language:
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
