Responsibilities:
- The Social Inclusion Specialist specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conducts WASH inclusiveness analysis to identify approaches, opportunities and recommendations for activity adaptations for women, youth, and persons with disabilities (PWD).
- Develops WASH Inclusion strategy based on results of analysis.
- In close coordination with the Technical Expert/Chief Engineer and consortium partners, oversees the successful implementation of WASH inclusion strategy, ensuring that women, youth, and PWD benefit from enhanced hygiene conditions in communities and households.
- Follows up with relevant cluster or working groups on protection inclusion issues raised in WASH Audits conducted with beneficiary households.
- Trains consortium partners and staff on social inclusion issues.
- Attends Protection Cluster meetings.
- Participates on PMT and Technical Implementation Team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred;
- Seven years of relevant experience;
- Demonstrated experience in and commitment to the application of Social Inclusion principles in development programs;
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing WASH activities;
- Full professional proficiency in spoken and written in both English and Arabic;

2- Public Health Specialist
Responsibilities:
- The Public Health Specialist specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develops GHW’s household hygiene promotion strategy, including the content of hygiene promotion trainings and all hygiene promotion education and communication materials.
- In close coordination with the Technical Expert/Chief Engineer, Social Inclusion Specialist, and consortium partners, oversees the successful implementation of the household hygiene promotion strategy.
- Trains consortium partners and staff on public health issues.
- Attends Health and Nutrition Cluster meetings.
- Oversees the distribution of hygiene items and/or e-vouchers by sub- awardees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred;
- Seven years of relevant experience;
- Experience in working with international development organizations is preferred;
- Demonstrated experience in developing and promoting public health strategy;
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering trainings to consortium partners and staff;
- Experience in facilitating health related projects;

3- Senior MEL Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Prepare an Activity Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Plan, with appropriate indicators and an effective data collection system.
- Design a reporting system that provides insights to decision makers on activity performance and areas that require attention.
- Supervise the collection of quantitative and qualitative data, applying data quality standards and procedures and using scientific methods to ensure high quality of data.
- Oversee data analysis and reporting on achievements against set targets, highlighting emerging patterns and offering clear reports on findings and conclusions.
- Strengthen the skills of staff and program partners, including overseeing the monitoring and evaluation activities conducted by sub-grantees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred;

4- Field Engineer (3)
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical input and support Engineering Fellows and supervise contractors to ensure adherence to technical standards.
- Conduct day-to-day field visits and submit daily updates and weekly written reports to the area engineer.
- Supervise the implementation of water, wastewater and storm water networks
- Assist in developing detailed bills of quantities (BOQ), drawings and specifications for civil and water infrastructure ion works based on assessment and program requirements.
- Proactively participate in sample/material inspection/evaluation committees to ensure that all materials match the quality specifications as detailed in the BoQ.
- Assist in ensuring that variations are approved by the Area Engineers according to the organization’s procedures before giving work order to the contractor.
- Write and submit weekly activity reports and filed visit reports to the Area Engineers of critical points of the construction/rehabilitation works.
- Validate the progress and quality of work of the contractors, and coordinate with procurement and logistics in coordination with Area Engineers to ensure their payments are done on time.
- Responds to and records beneficiary WASH technical/hardware feedback and complaints at field level
- Facilitate the water quality testing in the field.
- Prepare site documentation such as daily reports, work permissions, site instructions etc.
- Ensure the health and safety of all people in construction sites and compliance with HSE construction requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Water Engineering or any other relevant field;
- Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in supervising water and sanitation projects in a humanitarian/recovery context.
- Experience in preparing Bill of Quantity (BOQ) and budgets.
- Advanced computer literacy skills
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate adequate English language proficiency (reading, writing and speaking)

5- Area Engineers (2)
Responsibilities:
- Reviews all designs prepared for small construction activities, working directly with preparers on revisions and recommending final versions for approval by the Chief Engineer.
- Oversees the implementation of the project’s small construction activities, including household water and sewage connections and minor structural renovations in target households.
- Prepare tender’s documents including the Bills of Quantities and technical specifications.
- Conducts trainings on construction monitoring for Engineering Fellows.
- Assist in the performance evaluation process for the engineering fellows.
- Prioritize, plan and assign daily work duties to field engineers.
- Supports Fellows to monitor construction, including conducting regular supervisory visits and ensuring compliance with safety plan.
- Inspects all construction works and to ensure quality and site safety; investigates root causes of incidents and recommends corrective measures.
- Provide technical support to other team members and contractors when and where required
- Support in Liaising with beneficiary community and WASH cluster
- Provide technical support to water quality & hygiene promotion team while implementing the water quality and hygiene promotion activities.
- Ensure that infrastructure works is integrated with hygiene promotion and community
- participation component, to ensure sustainability of the infrastructure built
- Reviews monthly safety reports.
- Prepare work schedules in collaboration with the Line Manager and ensure that the construction is completed on time and within budget.
- Perform regular inspections & tests on materials and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations & standards.
- Document the construction process and keep detailed construction logs.
- Present construction project progress updates to the line manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Water Engineering or any other relevant field; master degree is preferable
- Minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience in supervising and implementing WASH related programs;
- Demonstrated experience in conducting trainings on construction management and monitoring;
- Must have strong technical knowledge and understanding of WASH rehabilitation and construction works, with a focus on environmental and sustainable solutions
- Strong ability to work independently, organize work, meet deadlines.
- Reports writing skills in both English and Arabic;
- Advanced computer literacy skills
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate adequate English language proficiency (reading, writing and speaking)
