The Palestine Information Technology Association of Companies (PITA) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of “Project Manager”.

Palestinian Information Technology Association of Companies – PITA is the voice of the ICT sector in Palestine. It has more than 150 member companies working in different ICT sectors such as software and outsourcing sector, hardware sector, training and consultancy sector, Internet and telecommunications sectors.

PITA is the reference and representative association of private ICT sector. PITA was founded in 1999 by a group of Palestinian entrepreneurs as a non-profit organization to advance the interests and positive societal impact of Palestine’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. A new generation of forward-thinking entrepreneurs with a heritage that takes them back thousands of years in history is bringing together profound change to the technology and startup landscape. Having the vision towards “A nation nurturing innovation and contributing to world knowledge” and the mission “To lead the ICT sector towards an innovation-based economy”.

The Palestine Information Technology Association of Companies (PITA) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of “Project Manager”.

Main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1-Ensure direct implementation and supervision of the projects:

  1. Develop a detailed implementation plan for the project. 
  2. Conduct fundraisers plans and assist in planning and coordinating events meant to raise funds and coordinate activities related to event planning and execution.
  3. Be responsible for accomplishing project goals and objectives required within constraints, such as time, cost, and agreed quality standards.
  4. Ensure the timely and quality delivery of planned project activities.
  5. Observe the work-plans and set deadlines.
  6. Ensure project’s quality assurance and its adherence to frameworks, donor regulations, and that all documentation is maintained appropriately.
  7. Supervise the work of staff, participating in reviewing and evaluating their work, and making relevant recommendations in accordance with the applicable policies and procedures. 

2- Ensure monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the projects: 

  1. Monitor the progress of implementation of project activities and key event schedules.
  2. Be responsible for monitoring of the financial resources and accounting to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reports.
  3. Report against the main indicators of the project.
  4. Prepare and reviewing submissions and reports required by the project consortium. 
  5. Conduct systematic reporting to PITA’s Gaza manager. 

3- Ensure monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the projects:

4- Ensure coordination and external relations of the projects:

  • Ensure good and systematic communication with relevant local authorities and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with and respecting the Code of Conduct, policies, and regulations of the EU. 
  • Whenever appropriate, share relevant information/updates with staff in order to strengthen coordination.
  • Performing external communications with external stakeholders related to the project.
  1. Promote an open, participatory, and teamwork organizational culture.
  2. Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by PITA’s Gaza manager or by the general manager.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Operations Management, Office Management, Human Resources Management or any other related field.
  2. At least three years of experience working on projects with international organizations.
  3. Fluency in English (Reading, Writing and Speaking).
  4. High efficiency and experience in managing development projects and financiers’ procedures.
  5. High ability to write technical reports and project proposals in both languages (Arabic and English).
  6. An ability to plan, organize and manage tasks in line with work requirements.
  7. Possess effective communication and negotiation management skills.
  8. High computer skills, especially MS-Office & MS-Project.
  9. The ability to withstand work pressures and work within a team.
