1- Microsoft BI and Reporting Support Specialist - UNRWA
Consultant – Microsoft BI and Reporting Support Specialist; HQ Gaza (Local)
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with the business to understand and analyse the data requirements, and translate it into user stories in the assigned sprint(s)
- Provides analytics on layering datasets in a visually compelling manner, and design prototypes
- Builds new Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop
- Reviews, improve, and manage the existing BI reporting solutions
- Proactively integrate new technologies for more advanced analytics including and not limited to PowerFlow, and PowerApps.
- Designs and implement statistical data quality procedures around new data sources
- Performs sanity checks and unit testing of reports; participate in end-user testing for bug fixing and issues resolution.
- Liaises with other operation teams to provide recommendations on performance, security, and user interface.
- Develops documentation, training materials and conduct training sessions when needed.
- Communicates plans, status, and issues with project management.
- Performs other IMT related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A university degree from an accredited educational institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- At least 2 years’ work experience in software applications development and implementation.
- Experience in building Reports and Dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
- Proficient with SQL, and Experienced with DAX
- Experienced in Power BI service on Microsoft Azure.
- Good Experienced in SSIS, SQL Server on Premise.
- Knowledge of the full Microsoft Analytics and Reporting stack, including SSRS, PowerPivot, PowerBuilder, PowerApps

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Microsoft certifications with SSIS or other ETL tools.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
- The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
- Remuneration for this consultancy will be grade 12 (1,259.40 USD) monthly, and it will depend on the qualifications and experience of the consultant.
- The incumbent will be based in Gaza.

2- ASP.net Software Developer - UNRWA
Consultant - ASP.net Software Developer, HQ Gaza, (Local)
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs software development and maintenance tasks on applications to which assigned.
- Performs limited analysis tasks as assigned by the supervisor for the design, implementation, customization, and maintenance of Agency software applications.
- Assists in collecting and documenting user requirements and preparation of system and programme specifications.
- Assists in preparation of user manuals and other documentation for the systems and applications to which assigned.
- Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A diploma degree, or university degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science, Information Technology, business administration with a major in or focus on information technology or other related disciplines, as per the following:
- Cluster A: A diploma degree.
- Cluster B: university degree.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in web applications development using ASP.Net and MS SQL Server; of which 1 year in using WCF, Web API’s using .Net framework & VB.Net/C#.
- Experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
COMPETENCIES

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in MS TFS or Azure DevOps
- Experience in rigorous testing and validation
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
- The duration of the consultancy is 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
- Remuneration for this consultancy will depend on the qualifications and relevant experience as follows:
- Cluster A: on grade 10 (1,050.20 USD).
- Cluster B: on grade 12 (1,259.40 USD).
- The incumbent will be based in Gaza.
