The main responsibilities include:

  1. Administering, implementing and maintaining security systems, supporting the central enterprise risk management of application and systems, providing solutions and remediation to those;
  2. Designing and implementing data confidentiality, data availability, and data integrity processes & procedures;
  3. Insuring application's vulnerabilities are identified and managing and documenting the remediation tasks accordingly;
  4. Administering and managing of security platforms and related applications;
  5. Providing technical support to other information systems development staff and to endusers on issues related to systems security, technical controls audits and risk management;
  6. Developing technical documentation and guidance on proper and secure installation, creation, handling and maintenance of data, including imports, exports, validation, and data protection procedures;
  7. Researching, evaluating, and recommending new security technologies; establishing and implementing industry best practices and standards regarding server's security, data confidentiality and availability, and efficient data management processes;
  8. Assisting in designing and building data & system security breaches/issues monitoring, detection and response platforms;
  9. Implementing security strategies to maintain security of user-level access rights to systems and databases;
  10. Maintaining security by testing and reviewing applications, database systems & platforms patches and upgrading as necessary

To qualify for this position, you will need:


  1. Education: A university degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science, information technology, electrical/computer engineering or other related discipline; Formal technical training in Microsoft Server technologies
  2. Work experience: At least five years of professional work experience in administering enterprise systems, and servers and applying application security techniques; Advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft technologies specially network infrastructure, security administration and servers' management
  3. Language(s) Very good command of spoken and written English

Desirable qualifications

  1. Knowledge of security automation tools and techniques;
  2. Knowledge of MS Servers; • ITIL knowledge and training;
  3. Knowledge of UNRWA's operations and computer facilities environment

Conditions of service

Monthly basic salary US$ 159260 plus special occupation allowance of 1232% of the basic salary Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution (15% of basic salary paid by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and dependency allowance (if applicable)
